Who we are

Bonsai Homes Pty Ltd (ABN 91 676 864 627) builds precision-engineered homes from our factory in Gisborne, Victoria. In this policy, "we", "us", and "Bonsai" refer to Bonsai Homes Pty Ltd.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry form on our website, we collect:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Property or site address (if provided)
• Your enquiry details, preferred timeline, and any notes
• For Oakridge enquiries: preferred layout and lot selection
• Advertising click identifiers, campaign tags, landing page, and referrer when present

We also collect standard web analytics data (page views, device type, country) through Vercel Analytics. This data is anonymous and does not identify you personally.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and provide information about our homes
• To contact you about pricing, availability, and next steps
• To improve our website and services
• To measure which advertising led to an enquiry and its later sales outcome

We will not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to your enquiry without your consent.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with unrelated third parties. Your data may be processed by our email service provider (Resend) solely for the purpose of delivering your enquiry to our team. We may also send normalised and securely hashed contact details and conversion events to Google and Meta, so we can tell which advertising led to an enquiry. These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations.

Sending information overseas

Some of the providers we use store and process information outside Australia, most commonly in the United States. This includes Google for advertising and analytics, Microsoft for Clarity session recordings, Meta where enabled, Resend for delivering enquiry emails, and Vercel for hosting this website. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, but the laws of those countries may differ from Australian law.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files saved to your computer or phone when you visit a website. As you browse, they record some information about how you use the site.

We use them for three things. Some are essential and keep the site working. Some tell us how the site is used, so we can improve it. The rest let us measure which advertising led to an enquiry, and show you Bonsai Homes ads on other websites and apps based on the pages you looked at here.

The third party providers involved are Google, through Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager, and Meta. These providers may be able to identify you.

We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records visits to this site and combines them into heat maps showing how the site is used. A recording covers which pages you open, how far you scroll and where you click. It does not capture anything you type: your name, email, phone number and site address are masked before the recording is made, so they never reach Clarity.

If you’re in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask before setting any of these, and we don’t use your information for advertising personalisation.

Blocking or deleting cookies

Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can block or delete them whenever you like:

• Chrome — Settings, then Privacy and security. Your ad settings live separately, in Google’s My Ad Center.
• Safari — on a Mac, Safari then Settings then Privacy. On iPhone or iPad, Settings then Safari.

Blocking cookies may stop parts of this site working properly. It also won’t stop every form of online tracking, and you may still see Bonsai Homes advertising on other sites.
